About A&N HR Solutions
Our History

Established in 2020, A&N HR Solutions is a national workforce and people advisory firm providing strategic HR consulting, people operations advisory, workforce strategy, accessibility consulting, and career advisory services to employers, professionals, and organizations navigating growth, change, and complexity. Established in 2020, the firm was shaped by sustained demand for expertise at the intersection of business performance, workforce readiness, workplace accessibility, compliance, and career mobility.

What began as a consultancy practice of one, evolved quickly as corporate, private, and mission-driven employers repeatedly sought guidance beyond traditional HR support. As demand increased in both volume and scope, ranging from people operations strategy and compliance to accessibility and workforce alignment, A&N HR Solutions was formed to meet that demand with structure, rigor, and scale. The firm continues to grow intentionally, building capacity in step with client needs while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.

Before the firm’s formal launch, this work included being appointed to support and help design citywide workforce initiatives in Chicago focused on expanding access to high-quality, sustainable employment opportunities. These efforts required collaboration across public, private, and nonprofit sectors, and provided early insight into how employment outcomes are shaped by the alignment, or misalignment, of employer practices, workforce systems, and external requirements.

During this period, thousands of professionals were mentored, hundreds of individuals secured and advanced in employment, employers and senior leaders were trained on workforce readiness, HR compliance, and accessibility practices, and entrepreneurs and founders were advised on strategies to strengthen operations and expand their businesses. Corporate and private employers also engaged this work to improve workplace accessibility and inclusion, recognizing the operational, legal, and human considerations required to expand access while maintaining performance.

Through this body of experience, consistent patterns emerged. Workforce and people challenges were rarely the result of individual performance or organizational intent alone. More often, they stemmed from fragmented systems, where policies, expectations, and environments were not designed to function together. One formative area of exposure involved employment outcomes for individuals transitioning from foster care in Illinois, where unemployment and underemployment rates exceeded 70 percent. Addressing these challenges required employer education, cross-sector coalitions, and integrated workforce frameworks that aligned business needs with legal, social, and operational realities.

These experiences informed the foundation of A&N HR Solutions. The firm was built on the understanding that effective people strategy and workforce consulting must account for both organizational priorities and individual circumstances, without compromising either. As both an advisory firm and an employer, A&N HR Solutions is committed to modeling the same practices it guides clients to adopt, embedding accessibility, compliance, and people-centered design into its own operations as it continues to scale.

Today, A&N HR Solutions operates across two distinct business divisions, Employer & Organizational Solutions and Elite Career Services, alongside a separate charitable workforce initiative, the A&N Career Services Project, which operates under fiscal sponsorship. Each arm serves a distinct audience while advancing a shared commitment to strengthening workplaces, advancing careers, and expanding access to opportunity.
